The 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) delivered good news to the construction industry, with an estimated one trillion dollars to fund U.S. infrastructure and related projects. However, with this good news comes a recommendation to read the fine print.

The national construction industry lost 9,000 jobs on net in March, according to data released Friday by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. On a year-over-year basis, industry employment has expanded by 196,000 jobs, an increase of 2.5%.
