Trimble has an important update regarding customer Trimble ERP subscriptions and a new service being provided at no cost to them. Read this notice carefully, as it describes a change in how Trimble is processing customer payroll data.
Beginning October 2026, Trimble will support The Work Number® from Equifax Workforce Solutions (“Equifax”) to automate income and employment verifications for customers when they are seeking loans, credit and government assistance. This free service improves the employee experience while reducing manual verification tasks for back-office payroll and HR staff.
To deliver The Work Number to customers, Trimble will share their Trimble ERP payroll data with Equifax. We want to make sure customers understand what is happening and what choices are available to them.
The Work Number’s Key Features and Benefits.
- Automated Transfer: Automated transfer of information between your Trimble ERP payroll system and The Work Number to credentialed verifiers
- Decreased Volume: Reduce the volume of manual verification requests your payroll and HR staff currently handle
- Restricted Data Access: Access to The Work Number data is restricted, under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), to credentialed verifiers with a permissible purpose
- Increased Privacy: Because verification is handled directly between the credentialed verifier and The Work Number, your employees’ personal transactions are more confidential and private
- Faster Decisions: Credentialed verifiers can access data 24/7 for faster decisions for employees
- Improved Opportunities: Quicker verifications can improve opportunities for employees to access the credit, loans and benefits they are seeking
Impacts to Trimble Accounts
Enrollment in this service will automatically take effect for customer companies starting October 2026. Customers do not need to sign or activate anything for the service to begin. Adding this service will amend the terms and conditions of Trimble ERP subscription agreements to permit the payroll data transfer described above.
By participating in this service, companies will be furnishing employee payroll and employment information to a consumer reporting agency. As a furnisher under the FCRA, furnishers have their own legal obligations that are separate from, and in addition to, Trimble's and Equifax's obligations. Equifax’s Notice to Furnishers of Information provides additional information about customer obligations as a furnisher.
